Welcome to the Euroserie Supertwin Topgas homepage

Congratulations to our new champion

Frank Heitmann, Germany.

welcome racefans

The last race of the season: the Dutch finals, Drachten, Friesland, NL

We could also call it the supertwin topgas euro finals, because the championship was still undecided. Frank Heitmann still needed lots of points to pass Brian Glaesner, but the big man didn't show up. He went to race in Mosten instead. Still, Frank needed to make it into the finals, and so he did. But he had to race hard for it. As you can see below, some guys went quicker, so he had to be sharp at the tree on sunday.

On friday the weather was cool and cloudy, but the sun came out on saturday morning and stayed with us for the rest of the weekend. The wind blew for the east, that day, and turned to south on sunday, making it a hot day. The track benefitted from this as the times went down.

And the crew of eXplosion did a fabulous job, while a total of seven qualification rounds were held, so everybody had lots of track time to set up their car or bike.

Ronald van de Werken was on top of the list for allmost two days, untill Harry van Schie did a great pass in the last qualification round while the sun was going down.

Cord Albers was just 0.002 seconds too slow to pass Ronald.

But Ronald van de Werken had damaged his engine, and signed off for the race. Thomas Greubel benefitted from this, he got into the race on sunday, to meet Harry van Schie. It was the first visit to the dragstrip in Friesland from the man from Bavaria and his team.

Criss van Nimmen used his V-rod Destroyer this time.

He was the first alternate, and was allowed a demo run after the quarter finals.

Herman Jolink had his new Ducati engine back in the frame, and made it into the semis. Here you see him againd Marc Vandeurzem while the sparks fly from his boots. Herman, Frank Heitmann and Piet Verhoef were present on all seven races. Herman Jolink did his best run in the quarter finals to take out Marc Vandenboer.

Frank Heitmann had a superb reaction and did his best time agaist Cord Albers in the semi finals. You can see the difference below.

By beating Cord, Frank was the new champion, much to his own supprise. And to top it off, he beat van Schie and won the race.

Many congratulations to Frank, he worked hard for it, and is one of the most fanatic and dedicated members of our class.

His decision to trade in his V-rod for an S&S bike at the first race this year proved to be the wisest in his carreer.

Brian Glaesner from Denmark is the runner up.

Herman Jolink from Holland made third place, and Bernd Niessen, Germany, is the number four. Harry van Schie, Holland, allmost caught him, but Heitmann prevented this, Harry is the new number five. German "undertaker" Cord Albers is number six, while only racing at three events. If he only had the time to come to all, he would be a serious candidate for the title. Piet Verhoef from Drachten is number seven with the good old ex-van Schie, ex-Hamadi-Buell.

Criss van Nimmen from Belgium just made place eight, only a few point above Marc Vandenboer, also from Belgium. Rainer Oberle, Germany is the new number ten. He just beat Roman Sixta from the Czech republic, who broke a lot of gearboxes this year. Roman wants to race a supertwin topfueler next year, so it's goodbye and good luck! Ludo Scheepers, Dris Hamadi, Thomas Greubel, and Marc Vandeurzem are at the bottom of the list.

The date of the award ceremony/topgas party will be held at the clubhouse of Eldagsen Mc near Minden in Germany in saturday the 4th of october. See you all there.

More party here:
